Facial Rejuvenation Procedures
Within the past 15 years, there have been two major medical/surgical advances that have enabled
us to restore an aging face with remarkable results and consistency.
Although these techniques are contemporary, the technology which has driven their development
is based on very solid medical practice and experience. These improved facial plastic surgical
procedures have eliminated the drawbacks that had been inherent to the more traditional methods.
- Endoscopic lifting technique
Since endoscopic instruments are so specifically designed for each procedure,
extensive training and experience is essential for consistent results. Dr. Maloney
has been performing endoscopic head and neck surgery since 1985 and endoscopic
facial plastic surgery since it was introduced in 1993. Dr. Agarwal has been performing
endoscopic surgery since 2000.
Significant surgical incisions are often unnecessary because endoscopic facelifts, brow
lifts and neck lift can be performed through tiny slits in the hairline, at the
back of the ear and under the chin. The lifting and repositioning of aging skin,
muscles and soft tissues back to a more youthful proportion is gently performed
using video-fiber-optic instruments. Areas such as the mid-face, previously inaccessible
by traditional surgical techniques, can be easily reached and restored. The degree of
facial rejuvenation can be greatly increased not only because the amount of surgical
trauma is greatly minimized, but also because "remote" areas are now accessible.
In our experience, facial plastic surgery is more appealing to both patient and physician. Results are
distinctly superior with greater patient acceptance and comfort. Incisions have been drastically
minimized, while the benefits have been maximized. The most notable benefits include:
- Concealed incisions - minimal incisions buried in hair or natural creases.
- Sensitivity is preserved.
- Decreased bleeding and swelling.
- Decreased recovery time.
- Decreased scarring.
- More natural look.
- Preservation of your personal authenticity and identity.
- Preventing the over-tightened look or “swoop” look.
- Re-establishment of your individual youthful facial proportions.
- Allowing for a procedure custom designed to suit your individual needs, thereby avoiding the need to over-operate.
- Preservation of options for future surgical procedures.
The inherent nature of facial plastic surgery demands results that are unquestionably natural and
long lasting. The use of fiber-optic technique is uniquely suitable for facial cosmetic surgery because
it allows the procedure to be custom tailored to each patient.

- Laser Wash™ skin resurfacing is now possible. Laser delivery systems have been designed to stimulate
new collagen formation (which enhances the structural integrity of the skin) while washing away dry, wrinkled
skin. Since skin tone and color is much less affected by laser light, the white pasty look associated with
chemical peels is eliminated. This contemporary approach to restoring the aging face and skin produces results
which are remarkable.
