The face and neck are cosmetically sensitive areas. Because of cumulative exposure to the sun,
certain areas of the face such as the nose, ears, lips, and eyelids are prone to skin cancer formation.
Surgical removal of these skin cancers can leave disfiguring defects on the face, if not closed with
meticulous surgical technique.
Dr. Anurag Agarwal, one of our Board Certified Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, has extensive
experience in repairing defects left after skin cancer excision. He works with several Naples area Mohs
dermatologic surgeons. These Mohs surgeons offer the highest cure rates by removal of the skin cancer
using Mohs micrographic surgery. They then place a dressing on the defect and send the patient to Dr.
Agarwal the same day as the excision.
Dr. Agarwal will then evaluate the defect, plan the repair, and strive to achieve the optimal cosmetic
repair. He has significant expertise with local rotation-advancement flaps, pedicled flaps, skin grafts,
and complex closures.

Patient Testimonials for Skin Cancer Reconstruction
Dear Dr. Agarwal,
Before I leave Naples for the summer, I must take a moment to thank you and your wonderful staff for helping me through my tumultuous winter/spring. I am so grateful to have been placed literally in your hands. I know that physically I have been healing, but the steady emotional guidance is what ultimately got me through…
Sincerely,
GM
Dear Dr. Agarwal and Staff,
I thank each and every one of you for being so remarkable during my worst time. Through all my years in New York and Washington, D.C., nobody has ever come close to you. I thank you again for all the love and remarkable attention, I will never forget. May you have the best of all years ahead with love, good health, and much needed “peace.”
Warmly,
MF
