Breast Reduction Before and After Photos
Women who have excessively large breasts often report self-consciousness, unwanted attention, and difficulty fitting into clothing. Chronic back and neck pain, postural issues, and physical limitations are a few of the concerns commonly associated with disproportionately large breasts. If you are experiencing any of these issues, breast reduction surgery is a potential solution you might consider. Although the goals of breast reduction and breast lift procedures are different, many patients combine these procedures to achieve a more aesthetically pleasing result. The pre-operative preparation, surgical incision, and post-operative course are quite similar with these procedures as well. The benefits of combining these procedures are that they can help you to achieve firmer and more lifted breasts, bras that fit comfortably, and a more balanced and proportionate physical body contour.
The most common breast reduction and lift techniques used by Dr. Holmes include the vertical reduction mammoplasty, the wise pattern reduction mammoplasty, and liposuction. Vertical Reduction Mammoplasty is excellent for women with minimal skin laxity or needing a moderate tissue reduction. This technique utilizes a circular incision around the areola, and then down the center of the breast to the inframammary fold.
Wise Pattern Reduction Mammoplasty is best for women with large breasts or a significant droop in their tissues called (ptosis). This technique combines the lollipop shape incisions from the Vertical Reduction procedure with a horizontal incision across the lower breast fold. This provides a dramatic reduction in breast tissue and is also the most common breast reduction technique used today.
