Skin Scope
In our Skin Spa, a LED Skin Scope enables our aestheticians to evaluate your skin using Ultraviolet (UV) light. When UV light is applied to the skin, the skin reflects the UV light as visible light (flourescence). This visible light has different colors based on the condition of the skin.
For example, clumps of melanin in the skin are visualized as dark spots, oily skin is seen as a yellow color, dry flaky skin is visualized as a white color, dehydrated skin is seen as darker shades of blue. Based on the findings, our aestheticians can recommend an appropriate skin care regimen and Skin Spa treatments (such as microdermabrasion, chemical peels, hydrating facials, etc…). Results are most accurate if your skin is make-up free and there is no sunscreen on your skin.
Facials
Dermaplaning Only
This procedure mildly exfoliates the skin and gets rid of vellum hair, better known as “peach fuzz.”
Classic Facial
This procedure involves cleansing, exfoliating, extractions, a mask with a personalized LED Light treatment, neck and face massage, and moisturizer.
Acne Facial
This procedure deeply purifies the skin with a combination of masks, extractions, and high-frequency and personalized LED Light treatment.
Anti-aging Facial

This procedure is a combination of Dermaplaning, Microdermabrasion, and MicroPeel. Our physicians and aestheticians designed it as a triple age defense treatment.
Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is a treatment that has been offered for several years at our practice. It is an effective and simple form of mechanical exfoliation, in which aluminum oxide crystals are used to remove the outer layer of dead or damaged skin cells, revealing more youthful skin. Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive treatment designed to improve the overall texture, tone and clarity of the skin while restoring the skin’s elasticity. The repeated process of exfoliation stimulates an increased level of collagen and elastin, which improves your skin’s appearance. All skin types benefit from microdermabrasion, which can improve the appearance of fine lines, acne scars, hyperpigmentation, chicken pox scars, brown spots, large pores and other skin imperfections.
While the crystal form of microdermabrasion offered at our practice remains the gold standard, the Megapeel EX Gold series device enables our aestheticians to perform crystal-free microdermabrasion with a diamond hand piece. This is well suited for sensitive, fragile skin because the exfoliation is less aggressive and more gentle. Our aestheticians will help guide you as to which microdermabrasion technique is most appropriate for your skin type.

Body Rejuvenation Treatments
The TAJ Body Mask
Skin treatments for the body can help to restore a youthful, smooth complexion to your arms, legs, and torso. All too often, skin on the body can lose its healthy glow and can benefit from enhanced cell turnover and moisturization. At the Aesthetic Surgery Center, our aestheticians will perform a Himalayan Crystal Salt Glow first, which will exfoliate and remove any dry, dead skin. This is then followed by a Gemstone Clay Body Mask, in which the clay mud helps with skin hydration, detoxification, and rejuvenation. Both of these treatments are coupled with hot gemstone therapy using the TAJ mat (see information below).
Himalayan Crystal Salt Glow offers the ultimate in body exfoliation. In addition to the many benefits of Himalayan salt, the exfoliating action of this body treatment has a wonderfully revitalizing effect on the skin.
Himalayan bath salt is known to encourage circulation, hydrate, increase moisture retention, and help alleviate dry, scaling, irritated skin.
Gemstone Clay Body Mask provides a truly unique body treatment. Its green gemstone clay comes from a remote mountainside on the pristine west coast of Vancouver Island. It is rich in minerals, rare earths, and gemstone material and supplemented with the potent energetic qualities of tourmaline, which also removes negativity.

Other Non-Surgical Procedures
ThermiSmooth™
ThermiSmooth™ is a procedure performed by our licensed aestheticians at the Aesthetic Surgery Center (along with Thermitight), utilizing the ThermiRF™ Radiofrequency skin tightening technology. During a series of 4 weekly sessions, a temperature regulated probe is applied externally to the skin in order to heat the skin to the desired level (42-44°C). Heating of the skin to this temperature induces skin tightening by collagen contraction and remodeling, as well as long term stimulation of collagen production. Results are seen 2 to 12 months after the series of 4 treatments. The most commonly treated areas are the upper and lower eyelids to tighten the skin and improve fine lines, the mouth area to improve lip lines, and crepy skin along the neck. The Aesthetic Surgery Center is proud to be the first to offer this exciting new technology in the Naples and Fort Myers area.
Microneedling
Microneedling is a minimally invasive skin-rejuvenation procedure that involves the use of a device that contains fine needles. The needles are used to puncture the skin to create a controlled skin injury. Each puncture creates a channel that triggers the body to fill these microscopic wounds by producing new collagen and elastin. Through this process, there is improvement in skin texture and firmness, as well as reduction in scars, pore size, and stretch marks. Microneedling is a safe, chemical-free method that triggers new collagen with advanced serums used with the process.
How many sessions will it take to see a difference?
- The number of needling sessions depends on the individual skin condition.
- Three or four treatments may be recommended for mild to moderate acne scarring, whereas deeper scars and stretch marks may require upward of five treatments.
- An interval of 3 to 4 weeks between treatments is typically recommended.
- After receiving the desired results, maintenance is recommended once a year.
Why get professional microneedling? (Machine based microneedling by a licensed aesthetician vs. self applied derma roller at home)
- The fear of going too deep at home could cause more damage than good. Alternatively, treatment that is not deep enough will not achieve any results.
- Using the derma roller too often at home could prevent the skin cells from regenerating.
- If performed at home in an unsanitary area, this could result in infection and causing more damage and possible scarring.
- Rollers create a V type hole (see image) where the needle goes in and comes out at an angle. This can lead to tearing and broader openings than necessary. The machine pens create a straight linear opening in the skin. There is less tearing with the machine and the goal of collagen stimulation is achieved without excess trauma to the skin.
