In-office injectable treatments have become extremely popular because they offer a very low downtime way to treat wrinkles, folds, and depressions on the face. They can be done prior to a social event or special occasion, or to maintain a nice smooth facial contour. Oftentimes, they are performed for individuals who may not be ready for surgery, or for those post-operative patients who want to maintain their results and continue to look their best. Injectables are generally considered beginning in the third decade of life, but there is no upper age limit for this type of treatment.
The choice of injectable agent is critical to the successful treatment of wrinkles, folds, and facial depressions. An individual consultation with one of our Plastic Surgeons will give you an accurate assessment of what will be best suited for your face. Often, a combination of agents (i.e. BOTOX® Cosmetic, Restylane®, Juvederm® Injectable Gel, Radiesse®, or Artefill®) may be used to achieve optimal results in different portions of your face.
We offer the following Injectables and Dermal Fillers:
BOTOX® Cosmetic and Dysport® are FDA approved purified toxins that has been shown to soften and reduce fine lines by relaxing the muscles of the face, and is our most popular facial treatment. Most commonly, horizontal forehead or worry lines, vertical frown lines, and squint lines or crow’s feet, or fine lip lines are treated. This procedure has an extremely high patient satisfaction rate, and is very well tolerated.
JUVEDERM® Injectable Gel is a hyaluronic acid derivative, similar to Restylane, that helps target wrinkles and folds of various depths, as well as for lip augmentation. It is one of the smoothest consistency fillers available, and has lidocaine built into it, resulting in minimal discomfort when injected.
Fat transfer allows us to augment the face, and restore its youthful contours. Fat transfer can improve cheek fullness, fill in facial hollows, restore volume to the eyelids, and refine the jawline. This procedure can be done awake in the office or at the surgery center with anesthesia. Fat offers long term correction and filling.
Perlane® is FDA approved for soft tissue augmentation of moderate to severe facial folds and wrinkles. Perlane® is similar to Restylane®, but with its larger particle size, is injected into deeper folds and often used for cheek augmentation.
Radiesse® is a synthetic injectable filler made of calcium hydroxyapatite that non-surgically reduces most wrinkles, creases and scars by augmenting your body’s natural collagen supply. It is best suited for deeper wrinkles and folds, or cheek augmentation. Radiesse® is made from the same minerals found in our bones, so it carries little or no risk of allergic reaction. It is one of the longest lasting temporary injectable fillers that are FDA approved.
Restylane® is a hyaluronic acid filler gel designed to smooth wrinkles and folds, sculpt lips and shape facial contours. Restylane® is one of the most commonly injected filler agents, has lidocaine built into it, and it carries little or no risk of allergic reaction.
BellaFill® filler is the first non-resorbable (permanent) filler approved by the FDA for the correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. A collagen skin test in the forearm is required prior to treatment. Unlike temporary fillers, results from Artefill® injections improve with time, and last for years. This filler is used for nasolabial folds and marionette lines (smile lines).
JUVÉDERM VOLUMA™ XC injectable gel is the first and only filler FDA-approved to instantly add volume to the cheek area. It is made of hyaluronic acid derivative, a sugar molecule normally found in human skin. JUVÉDERM VOLUMA™ XC gives you a subtle lift with minimal down-time, helping to restore contour and a more youthful profile, for up to 2 years, in patients over the age of 21.
Kybella is an FDA-approved injectable cosmetic treatment used to eliminate the fat that causes double chin. As the only non-surgical method for addressing this common cosmetic problem, Kybella is quickly growing in popularity alongside Botox and other injectables. This treatment involves injecting a synthetic version of bile salts that the liver naturally makes to break down fats. Kybella actually destroys the fat cells, which the body naturally eliminates on its own following each session.
