Our Achievements
During a series of 4 weekly sessions, a temperature regulated probe is applied externally to the skin in order to heat the skin to the desired level (42-44°C). Heating of the skin to this temperature induces skin tightening by collagen contraction and remodeling, as well as long term stimulation of collagen production. Results are seen 2 to 12 months after the series of 4 treatments.

HOW THERMISMOOTH™ WORKS – PRECISION IN SKIN HEATING
This procedure is performed in the office by our licensed aestheticians. No anesthetic is required. The ThermiSmooth™ probe is applied to the target skin externally, which is then heated to the desired level (42-44°C). Monitoring of external skin temperature is performed with real time feedback from an infrared camera system, which is continually monitored by our aestheticians to ensure even distribution of heat. Most procedures take about 30-45 minutes. ThermiSmooth™ treatments can be combined with facials or microdermabrasion treatments if desired. There is mild redness and swelling for a few hours and make-up can be applied right away. This procedure can be performed on any skin type.

Can ThermiSmooth™ be performed in conjunction with other procedures such as injectables?
ThermiSmooth™ is a no downtime procedure that is affordable and can improve fine lines, wrinkles, and crepey skin laxity of the eyelids, and upper and lower lips. It is not meant to be a substitute for laser resurfacing or surgical treatment. An individual consultation is best to see if you are a good candidate for this treatment. Combining ThermiSmooth™ with other techniques such as Botox Cosmetic or injectable fillers can further improve results. ThermiSmooth™ can also be performed if you have had prior laser resurfacing but still have some residual lines. For those candidates with darker skin types who are not ideal laser resurfacing candidates, ThermiSmooth™ finally offers something to improve fine lines and wrinkles with risk of pigmentary alteration.
