Dr. Anurag Agarwal, a facial plastic surgeon, is board-certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. He has been featured on ABC news, NBC news, FOX news, and Wink TV as a recognized expert on various topics within the field of facial plastic surgery.
Dr. Agarwal was selected by his peers to serve as President of the Florida Society of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery from 2011-2013. He was also chosen by Gulfshore Business magazine as one of Southwest Florida’s top 40 under 40 business leaders in September 2013. In September 2014, Dr. Agarwal was featured by Naples Illustrated magazine in their “Super Men” issue. In the 2024 Naples Daily News Choice Awards, he was voted Best Plastic Surgeon in Naples.
Honors & Awards
In 2016, Dr. Agarwal was honored at the annual American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive national meeting as the 5th recipient of the annual “Maintaining Excellence in ABFPRS Certification Award.” This award was given to Dr. Agarwal for earning the highest score in the United States on the oral and written portions of the 2016 American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ABFPRS) Maintenance of Certification examination. From 2015 through 2024, Dr. Agarwal has been annually recognized as one of Castle Connolly’s Top Doctors in Florida. Naples Illustrated magazine also has featured him as one of their “Top Doctors” in 2018 through 2024.
Dr. Agarwal recognizes a patient’s desire for facial rejuvenation with minimal downtime and a non-invasive approach. Dr. Agarwal carefully listens to his patients to understand their goals before explaining their options. His strong surgical and fellowship background provide him the expertise required to design a treatment plan that considers a patient’s anatomy, goals, and expectations.
In a time of increasing media attention and public awareness of facial plastic surgery, Dr. Agarwal believes that educating and communicating with his patients is the key to achieving natural, well-balanced, healthy results.
In his spare time, Dr. Agarwal donates his time to Naples charities, including Habitat for Humanity of Collier County. He is a volunteer physician with the Neighborhood Health Clinic and a member of the Domestic Violence Task Force with The Shelter for Abused Women & Children. Dr. Agarwal also enjoys amateur mountaineering.
Education & Training
Dr. Agarwal completed his undergraduate training at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 1997. He then received his Doctor of Medicine at Philadelphia’s MCP-Hahnemann School of Medicine in 1999 and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
Dr. Agarwal completed his surgical internship at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia in 2000, then received his specialty training in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery after four years. After completing his training in head and neck surgery, Dr. Agarwal pursued sub-specialty fellowship training exclusively in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Agarwal completed his Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia in 2005.
During his fellowship, he served as a clinical instructor at the Emory University School of Medicine. In 2005, Dr. Agarwal was recognized at the annual meeting of the AAFPRS for scholastic excellence on the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ABFPRS) examination. Since 2008, he has served as a guest examiner for the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. In September 2020, Dr. Agarwal was elected to a prestigious 6 year term as a member of the ABFPRS Board of Directors.
Dr. Agarwal is board-certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. He was appointed the President of the Florida Society of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery from 2011 to 2013.
