Eyebrow & Forehead Before and After Photos
Low, heavy eyebrows can be the result of genetics and apparent at a young age, or they can fall over time during the process of aging. When the eyebrows are low, it can make the eyes look hooded and obscure the natural beauty of the eyes. When the eyebrows are lifted to the desired position, the eyes look more refreshed and open, often revealing the individual’s true eye color. The eyelashes are also more visible once the heavy eyebrows are lifted. Many individuals are unable to treat horizontal wrinkles on the forehead with Botox Cosmeticâ because of potentially worsening the brow position and lowering the eyebrows.
After a brow lift, they can have horizontal wrinkles treated again with Botox Cosmeticâ without fear of lowering their eyebrows. In our practice, our plastic surgeons predominantly perform Endoscopic forehead and brow lifts, due to the small incisions that are concealed behind the hairline. This technique is performed with telescopes and magnified vision, with minimal bleeding, and minimal recovery time. Many patients will choose to have this procedure at the same time as eyelid surgery or at the same time as an Endoscopic Midface lift, due to being able to utilize the same incisions for part of the midface lift.
When the hairline is high, sometimes our surgeons will use an incision along the hairline, but this is much less common. Our surgeons generally choose to avoid incisions/scars above the eyebrow or along the central forehead due to post-operative visibility of those scars. In our Eyebrow & Forehead Lift photo gallery, you will see examples of patients who have had lifting of their eyebrows, and the improved appearance of their eyes in general.
